February ipsy Glam Bag Review

Another month, another ipsy Glam Bag!  The bag this month is BY FAR my favorite.  It’s sooooo cute!  Definitely holding on to this one and NOT sharing with my daughter!

ModelCo Lip Lacquer Lip Gloss in Morocco

I really like this lip gloss.  It is has just a hint of tint (although they claim it is a vivid pop of color, that’s not true in my opinion), which is fine for someone, like me, who doesn’t want to look like she’s wearing makeup.  This lip gloss feels very moisturizing, and stays on after drinking several cups of coffee.  But I’m not likely to buy the full size, as I have other lip glosses that I like better and cheaper than the full size of this lip gloss.

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in I’m Kind Of A Big Deal (baby pink)

I was excited to get a new nail polish, especially one without all the harsh chemicals.  Unfortunately, I don’t like pink, and I won’t wear it.  I am giving it to my daughter.  Bummer.

Theorie Argan Oil Ultimate Reform Hair Serum

Because I have naturally curly (kinky), dry hair, and flat iron it straight once every month during the Fall and Winter, a good hair oil that not only keeps the frizz and lackluster locks under control, but also one that smells nice is an absolute necessity. I was excited when I received this in my glam bag, as I am super adventurous when it comes to hair products.  I don’t love the scent – it almost smells like licorice.  And it’s not easy to get it out of the container – you have to shake it really hard to get any of the serum out, so it makes a mess.  Worst of all, it made my hair frizzy.  The hair I just spent an hour flat ironing.  I’m throwing this in the trash.  BOO!

it Cosmetics, Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer

I don’t wear concealer, so the jury is till out on this one.  The next time I take the time to put on a full face of makeup, I will give this a whirl, though.  Because you had me at anti-aging!

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Sierra Nevada #5

I have used Mica pigments before and always liked them for their versatility, i.e. can use on the eyes, lips, and cheeks! The Naked Cosmetics version is no exception.  I wore it the other night as an eyeshadow when I went out to dinner with the hubs sans the kiddos, and it was a good look for a night out. The dark brown color gave me a nice smoky/sultry look.  My biggest complaint with this mica pigment (and the others that I have tried) is that it makes a huge mess.  There was shadow all over the counter.  Gross.  I like this product, but I don’t love it.

Final thoughts: I didn’t really love anything they sent me in the glam bag. But I loved the bag.  So, this feels like a win!
